Lena Trydal (b. 1994, Kristiansand, Norway) is a visual artist whose figurative paintings draw on images sourced from the internet. Through a collage-based process, she relocates stereotypes, icons, and everyday motifs into new visual contexts to explore how images shape ideas of taste, value, and identity. By translating everyday digital images into painting, she investigates how meaning and value change as images move between different contexts. More info
